In a market that sees the arrival of new software providers and consultancy firms on a daily basis, DEFACTO wants to stand out from the crowd and position itself as a thought leader when it comes to optimising digital processes.
Our Approach
DEFACTO is positioning itself as a thought leader with a free white paper that offers the latest insights into process automation in marketing and addresses interested parties in the areas of MarTech and SaaS.
In addition to the realisation of a 12-page white paper on the topic of ‘marketing automation’ as a key content piece, we produced other formats that pick up on content from the paper. We also provided support in the distribution process:
- Infographics with key insights for DEFACTO's social media channels
- Preparation of these infographics as short animated videos for DEFACTO's social media channels
- Standalone mailing exclusively for the release of the white paper
- Placement of a content ad in the Statista newsletter for one week
- Lead generation via the whitepaper download page on statista.com

The Outcome
Thanks to the content measures, DEFACTO was able to increase brand awareness and position itself as a thought leader in the field of marketing automation. Supported by distribution in the form of customised content formats on DEFACTO's own channels and in the high-reach Statista newsletters, high-quality leads were generated.
- The standalone mailing achieved an open rate of 27.7% and a click rate of 1.6% among the approx. 59,000 recipients.
- The content ad in Statista's editorial ‘Daily Data’ newsletter achieved an open rate of 29.5% and a click-through rate of 0.2% in the week it was sent out
